What you'd actually
be doing.

DAY TO DAY

You'd be running 5–8 live mandates at any given time across PE, growth equity, VC and M&A advisory firms. Sponsors and partners brief you directly — there's no account manager between you and the client. You decide who to call, what the search strategy is, and who makes the shortlist.

A typical week looks like:

  • Two to three intake calls with new sponsors or follow-up calls on live mandates
  • Direct outreach to passive candidates — phone first, LinkedIn second, never CV blasting
  • 30-minute screening calls where you actually qualify, not just tick boxes
  • Debrief calls with both sides after every interview round, within 48 hours
  • Closing conversations: comp negotiation, notice periods, the awkward stuff
  • One weekly pipeline review with the team
Who you are

We're looking for
one specific person.

01 / EXPERIENCE

2–6 years in finance recruiting.

Ideally PE, VC, M&A or IB-coverage. If you've placed Analysts and Associates into deal teams before, you know what we mean. If you've only done corporate finance or audit roles, this isn't the right fit yet.

02 / TEMPERAMENT

Direct, not pushy.

You can deliver hard feedback to a candidate and to a client without flinching. You'd rather lose a fee than place someone you don't believe in. You don't sugarcoat and you don't ghost.

03 / OWNERSHIP

You want a P&L, not a cubicle.

You're tired of being a "sourcer" or a "consultant" handing leads to someone else who closes. You want the whole mandate, the whole conversation, and the whole upside that comes with it.

04 / FLUENCY

You speak deal-team.

You can read a teaser. You know what carry is. You can tell the difference between a Growth fund and a Buyout fund without Googling. If you can't, it's fine — but the curve to get there is steep.
